The food on the Ilse is unforgettable. The giant hamburger is stuffed with french fries, fried onions, cheddar slices and "fromage en graine" the typical curd cheese used in poutine. This is a very special French Canadian specialty. 
Dr Vigneault brought his daughter Khori and grandchildren Jackson and Morgan to Ilse de la Madeleine where he worked at the dental clinic on the island. These are islands at the entrance to the Gulf of St Lawerence about 5 hours ferry ride from PEI. |
